I went the beautiful and touching union of two camp friends yesterday at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church. The couple exemplified a Christian dating relationship by including many people in their relationship, not being overly focused on each other, and waiting to kiss each other until the alter. Needless to say, their marriage yesterday was very significant. Here are a few pictures of the event:
The church has an outdoor amphitheater where the ceremony took place.
Their first kiss EVER!
The beautifully simple cake that Joyce made.
And the INCREDIBLE groom's cake! Yes, that's a cake...made of brownies, actually. She used faundit (not sure how you spell it, but it's basically edible playdo) to make all the trees and granite-looking surface. Kristen is at the top of Half Dome, and Scott is climbing up toward her.
This is the gift I wrapped for them that I'm actually really proud of! I've never wrapped something in an octagon before, but I'll say it turned out wonderfully!
The bride and groom are both fairly musical, so they sang a couple of songs together (sorry for the poor picture quality). Overall, it was a beautiful day, and the weather cooperated quite nicely for an outdoor November wedding. Many congrats to our friends Scott & Kristen!
